Author Topic: any ship/fleet/submarine combat games?  (Read 1019 times)

So yeah, I have played both Battlestations, and Silent Hunter 5. I really like naval stuff and I want some new games to play.

games like Battlestations are highly appreciated, but doesn't needs to be like it.

It's a little old, but the Reinforced Alert mod is pretty fun once you get it installed.
The game by default lets you control like 4 US and Russian subs, a surface class frigate, a P-3 Orion, and a MH-60 variant or something. It's a lot of fun with some pretty cool technical aspects in terms of station operation in the vehicles.

I'd suggest playing Silent Hunter III. It's also a pretty good one in the franchise.

There are those PT boat games on steam, although most of the reviews of them are pretty bad.

Assassins creed IV has some pretty good naval combat if you're interested in pirate era stuff.

If not, then I can't think of any more

Battleship

I looked into every game. Battleship looks like a FPS, do you drive a vehicle/control a ship?

Naval War Arctic Circle is like DEFCON, but with some 3D things.

Dangerous waters is not bad, but still the physics/effects aren't worth it. Not that I am graphic-hungry but it's just a little silly.

Ever heard of Space Pirates and Zombies? I recommend it, although it's top-down and its replay value kinda sucks.
