I get the same ping an I'm currently on the server.

Yeah, pings come up blank a lot for some mysterious reason but they're usually still connectable.

It's most likely some kind of conflict between your network and the server.
Wait for him to get a VPS, it might just be a network issue with the machine that it's being hosted from since I presume it's coming off a residential network.

Yeah been having some problems with people not being able to connect, not sure why.
I'll look into setting up the VPS tomorrow. I rarely like to use VPS's on dev servers just due to all the restarts can be long when adding new add-ons.
