first time i picked up the game i was surprised something like that existed on the 3DS. there is so much armor, i'm just having trouble finding a sword and shield that looks cool... looks can kill after all

what armor do you guys have on right now? i just pretty much made it to high rank (after months of playing i know) and now i'm intimidated by all of the new and upgraded armors.

Barroth armor. Currently grinding for a Barroth gunlance and Gobul armor.

I had one of the older ones on a PSP, and I always failed the first boss mission because I had no one to play with.

I still play Frontier from time to time because I have friends on the Moon that help me pay.
I was in one of the Online beta tests too, but it was weird in a lot of ways. Like, it played like the archaic ass PSP games but the graphics weren't poo.

For bows Brachy, otherwise I'll go between Stygian and Alatreon depending on the monster and my weapon. Sometimes I like to use the Sand Barioth's set because it looks cool.
I've been meaning to finish the Hollowed Jhen's set too, I should do that sometime.

hm, interesting.. i'm still trying to find a weapon type that i favor the most, i use sword and shield a lot but it doesn't do as much damage as i'd like even though it's super quick.

as for armor all i've got is a few slagtoth and alloy s pieces lmao

3DS and Wii U! There's also a PSP version but i know very little about that one. There's also Monster Hunter Frontier for PC, but i thought that game was region locked..?

All of the original games were on PSP before Capcom was suddenly "we Wii now." Only Portable Third plays like the rest of the third generation games, since it was an expansion of the original Tri, the rest have the same slower (and in my opinion clunkier) play of the previous generations.
