You'll probably hold the record for most people banned in one thread.

Recounting, I'm picking up at least 12.

i know there's a joke in here somewhere about tezuni, moderation, and lots of bans. somewhere.

can we have a rule against links to sgitty reddit spam.

cant it fall under posting for banned users or someyhing.

Funny thing is I posted the same thing in coding help like a week before.
But no one made the link between a player joining and the crash.

I don't agree with giving the game to Kalph at all, but hell, I still stand strongly on my belief that the game should still be passed on to someone else, since you've clearly gotten bored of developing it, and that's fine. I perfectly understand that. Regardless, progress has to be made somehow and making fun of banned users is not the way to do it.

People say the game doesn't need any updates, and that it's powered completely by the community, but I beg to differ:
Better modding support, such as the following features:
Per image coloring, which will save on datablocks and give each weapon a freely customizable 16.5m colors.
Same with particles. It's already possible with brick emitters, why not projectiles and explosions?
More audio functions, like stopping audio server-sided that was called on a GameConnection class.

Fixes:
Sound being extremely loud if it's coming from your player in first person.
Audio channels sometimes reversing while looking up and down.
Vehicle physics.
Player physics. (corner jumping)

And general improvements:
Projectile networking improvements to cause less updates, especially at higher velocities, instead of just capping it.
Proper steam dedicated server support.
Workshop.

So if you were ever planning on making a complex racing game mode that is dependent on collision physics, you're never getting it. If you were planning on making an atmospheric build that works on illuminating darkness with brick lights, tough luck. It's frustrating, and there's not much we can do but ask Badspot to fix these things, which he isn't going to do.

Badspot, please, please don't ignore the solution. If you're not willing to take good care of the game yourself, it needs a new home.

do you not get sarcasm?

do you not get sarcasm?

I wanted to make it clear that, when I stated that he should give the game to someone else, that I wasn't actually agreeing on Kalphiter.

But hey, for you, I guess it's easier to be a snarkly starfish than to actually address the content of my post. Appreciate that.

Not saying it needs to be passed off, (that is, if Badspot does continue development despite all of the impatient wads, despite the fact we aren't "guaranteed" an update) but if it were to be passed off, I have faith the modders who would recieve it.

On a similar note, if Badspot were to go the route of releasing the source code, while this would help immensely, this wouldn't give any sense of officiality to the game when all you can do to enhance your experience is download mods.

Not that a sense of officiality really matters.

It's his game, I really dont care what he does with it. Just discussing his options for this kind of thing.

I have faith the modders who would recieve it.
Who would receive it...would what???

Not to mention video prints / screens, binary TCP/File support if possible (might not be, but baddys edited the engine before afaik), terrain, etc.

I can almost guarantee that if Badspot did give Blockland's development to someone else, he would give it to either a distinquished modder, or a professional developer if he can.

I probably worded that horribly.

This is what I meant.
If Badspot ever did decide to leave Blockland development to the modders, I have faith in the modders who would recieve it.
