Author Topic: 9 year old supposedly shoots instructor in face with full-auto uzi.  (Read 5121 times)

Of course you dont give an inexperienced shooter a powerful gun. Hes still an idiot. Maybe gun ranges should have an age limit? Or maybe the instructor, who i hope knew something about guns, should have though "oh this is a gun that has a very strong kickback maybe I shouldn't allow the child to use it, considering they are 9 and even if i told them that the gun has kickback their tiny 9 year old muscles could not ever counteract the recoil of an uzi"

A little sense can save lives. And thats why we have laws. Because people lack the sense to do something correctly so it needs be illegal so they dont forget people over
There is something called a Range Officer. The Range Officer's job is to make sure no one is doing anything reckless, dangerous, and harmful the people around them. I'm not sure if they had a range officer or not. If there was one their, he or she was probably too far away to catch what was going on in time.

And yes, many ranges have polices, rules and restrictions. Apparently that particular one did not have such regulations in place. Or they did, but their range officer wasn't in their shooting area to catch it in time and the instructor would be at fault to for letting the girl shoot in the first place.

Australia you can still own a firearm. Yet those countries get cited all the time as the best antigun countries in the world. "Hey guys, UK has no guns. Fewer deaths than USA!" *ignores the fact you can still have a firearm, also ignores the large number of assaults/batteries*
Heavily restricted, though. You can't even get an airsoft here without applying for a permit that only lasts for a very brief period of time. Paintball guns you're allowed to own if you get a license.

That said, it doesn't stop anybody getting the guns through illegal means; we have lots of drive-by-shootings, particularly in the Western Suburbs.

I think the overarching problem is that somebody thought it was a great idea to give a child an Uzi. Children should not be given fully automatic firearms in general. I'm not going to argue whether or not children should be shooting guns in the first place, as I try to avoid those types of debate.

I saw this on Huffington Post yesterday, crazy story. One of the best murders a child has ever done.

wow, if u pay attention to the end of the video u can actually see the uzi leave her hands

im pretty sure that the 9 year old is a rebel trying to take everyone down

what. the gun went directly under the girls face lol. it went nowhere near the instructor

When I first read the topic, I tought a girl actually was angry with the instructor and shot him in the face with an uzi in purpose.

ok gimme a shot
good job
ok now spray the whole clip
bawhasjhkahfauwhakghaksjg

small girl

automatic weapon

its like putting a jetpack in her arms and flicking the switch

i love how easily this incident could've been prevented

She could've shot herself, she's lucky she didn't.

Wow, an argument thread where we all agree on something, nice.

So, no powerful guns for kids

That instructor was having a bad day
