Author Topic: forget off USPS.  (Read 4287 times)

FedEx sent my laptop from China, through Alaska, which makes sense, right? Then it went to Tennessee, which makes less sense when you consider I live in Arizona.

However, I believe they have some sort of central processing facility in Tennessee, but I'm just trying to illustrate that most delivery services do batstuff things.

usps once forgeted me over by sending concert ticket FROM THE SAME CITY AS ME to the next state over and then back. Didnt get to see the concert bc of that...

That's kind of your fault for ordering it so close to the event, lol.

Calm the forget down, dude. It just seems a little ridiculous to me that a package that is going to the west could have been taken over to the west depot and delivered that way. Now their flight is going to go only far longer, and probably burn more fuel and resources because they opted to make the plane travel the entire length of the globe, instead of flying the package direct to the other depot with any other packages for Australia and Asia.

How do you assume I'm believing Australia should get its packages over the US first? I'm getting an International parcel. It's not being delivered to America. You guys are not in this equation, aside from being the point of departure. I assume there are daily flights for mail between the East and West coast too, so why couldn't my mail have been stuck on one of those flights?

I ordered it on ebay from the same city as me, I could have done local pickup but I didn't want to be raped / murdered

Jesus loving christ can you not understand this?

The packages in the plane do not matter. If it is international, they don't stick it on a golden plane and deliver it to you.

They put the package on the plane after the dude sent the dragon carrot to the local distribution center. That package went on a plane, which has these things to check:  1) the closest other distribution center AND 2) the closest distribution center that will receive the MAJORITY of the load compared to the surrounding area/states.

Why is that so loving hard for you to understand? Do you not understand how much planes cost? They try to minimize the planes they have to use so they don't go poor. Stop being so goddamn selfish over the 1.2 billion people (not including eastern russia and most of africa) living closer to the service than you are.

Doesn't matter, you didn't give yourself enough breathing room for the mail to arrive. You bought it too late and it's all on you.

So you're interpreting one person's frustration on a web forum which many people come to and they complain about meaningless stuff as total loving ignorance and selfishness against every other person in the world.

I'm not going to continue arguing this. If you feel correct, congratulations. All I want to say is that it is frustrating that the seller chose the shipping option that costs me the most, and makes me wait the latest. I already said I'm inpatient.

arent you the dude who made a topic about having money troubles and not having a job earlier?
why are you buying legos that cost $67?

Cost more than that, $67 was just postage.

Money was friends birthday present. In his words "If you use this money for any of your bills, I'll kill you. Go and get something nice."

$67 shipping (Not that much off a ticket to America, mind you)
huh? how the hell do you get a ticket to the states for $67?

Ridiculous exaggeration and me mixing up some facts. My bad.

Clearly in the title you are bashing USPS, not your seller.

Clearly in the title you are bashing USPS, not your seller.
Because:

A) When I woke up this morning and looked at the tracker I wasn't thinking rationally
B) The seller and I both didn't really do the proper research, since they just wanted to get the thing shipped and I assumed that USPS would operate international parcels like any other courier service.

odd, I've never had any problems with broken items

YMMV based on where you live I suppose

I just got one of those. They come out of Phoenix, Arizona which has a major FedEx distribution center. They actually got it to my fairly fast.
