Not a gamemode, but he had a minigame. Also there was no lava or water or wind disasters

idk if this is possible
but then again i don't model so what do i know
It is possible to animate mount points.

I thought you did some stuff with Blender back in the day.

Anyway, moving mount points is possible, see the default player model - if you mount someone to the hand they'll swing back and forth with the animation as they walk. Unfortunately it'd just be players mounted to it - vehicles don't mount well and fake-killed bricks can't be interacted with at all. Plus I'm pretty sure there's a limit on usable mount points, their movement would become really predictable, and it doesn't support variance in the objects it'd be picking up (e.g. 5x scale godzilla would follow the same movement once mounted as a 0.1 scale minifig.)

Physicalzones would work better to get the right effect if you have a bunch of them pointing in the right direction. Still wouldn't pick up bricks, but if you fakekill them with enough force in the right direction it probably wouldn't look too off.

Hardest part I can imagine is the visual design of this. Torque doesn't support particles moving in a circular motion, and while you could probably model a spinning texture on a conical surface, a tornado wouldn't look right without kicking up some dust, and the dust wouldn't look right unless it was moving in the direction the air is supposedly moving.

Y'know... Not a Bad Idea Dude!
If I was a Scripter or Modeler, then I would do this right now! (despite the fact that it seems hard.)

There's Just Two Problems... 1. is it 3D or Blockish? 2. How Will it Work?

I might remake the mode into a build to survive. Since the old one I made was only events (which was really cool, but it broke easily when I wasn't there) (Also lost the same since I went on 3 different computers of my own during that time). Then we had the newer one I released, which was just crap. So now I should make something like this, but with an upgrade shop (increase health and have more building power, and more of course), build to survive (no rotation crap) with limited brick volume count, and lots more.

NO NO YOUR DOING IT WRONG

WHY DOES EVERYONE DEVELOPE A SINGLE ROBLOX GAME

Lol.. Survive the disasters is the same crap. What's wrong with this?

I think it would be a whole lot less problematic for the tornado to destroy any vehicles/players it kills and fling them into the air.

Bricks should not be fake-killed but instead dissapear with the standard "fade-out" effect or no effect at all to prevent lag. Normal explosions work fine with the fake-kill system but a tornado that wrecks anything in it's path might be problematic.

Of course, brick destruction should still be optional.

I remember Jetz made a wind mod for his AoTV3 server, maybe you can send him a PM. It was pretty cool.

Before someone actually PMs me about this, it was just a non-moving zone that we placed around the top half of a log-climbing challenge once it became clear that we were all experts at log-climbing challenges and making them absurdly tall wasn't doing enough for us. What it did was add a force on you at periodic intervals in a random direction that got more and more intense the higher up you went, to the point where near the top your grappling hook was more for stopping the wind than anything else as you flailed around sideways every ten seconds or so. It was more like an obstacle than the environmental disaster people are looking for here.

I still have it
