Author Topic: Microsoft gave me a lol  (Read 3863 times)

8 makes sense for a tablet in my mind, but I see no reason to change the way we use regular computers, other than maybe to create a uniform system, and then it still makes more sense to me to maintain the old way.  For people like me who don't thrive on change 8 is a nightmare.
This, this so much. The start screen was designed for touch screens. Navigating it with a mouse feels annoying when you could just have a small applications menu on the taskbar.

There's none of that in Windows 8.1. You have to stop what you're doing and enter the full screen start menu and search for what you wanted in the bar at the top.
there is though

you can press a little arrow on the start menu and it gives you the list of programs
sure, you have to go into the fullscreen start, but there's certainly not "none of that" in 8.1

I was referring to the right-click "start menu" that we were talking about.

Read the rest of the conversation and it will make sense.

ya i read it but you seemed to indicate that you thought searching was the only way and i've never even had to use the search borf before except for some goofy help thing

What's your favorite Linux distro, OP?

Linux has problems with playing Blockland, but Ubuntu is my favorite.
^Is the reason I dont use Linux platforms for gaming.

I was just saying what I thought was easiest. I find typing what you want easier than looking through a full screen of icons.

Linux and Unix in general is bad for gaming.
However, Steam is pushing towards Linux as a gaming platform by encouraging developers to add Linux compatibility.

This is true

ANYWAY I GOT YOU, YOU FAKE HEDGEHOG

I saw that ninja

And, what?

Remember this? It listed all of your applications at once in one big list.

wow, i literally just said;
if your problem  is "B-BUT THEY REMOVED "SHOW ALL!!!1!" use search
you don't need to go into the full-screen start menu to search, if you use the search function on the windows 8 start menu you'll get a small menu to the right of your screen for it.

Why is blublur so butthurt about the starmenu being gone lol, if you stopped crying you would've found this
just make a bind to access it and voila, a "better" windows 8.

Guys. There are tons of start menu programs for win8.1. You can use it just like win7 and get all the benefits of win8.
