Author Topic: Display driver crashes when outside blockland window  (Read 2915 times)

So sometimes when I'm outside of my blockland window my display driver crashes and recovers, and I'll have to restart blockland. Any ideas what's going on? how to fix?

Does it only happen when playing blockland?

yes, when I have blockland running but I'm outside of its window

here are 2 console.log's with trace enabled when the crashes occurred

this happens like 4 times every few hours. I don't get it

Did you update your graphics drivers to the newest?

What graphics card do you have?

I haven't used that, but I've checked for driver updates through my device manager in control panel's hardware section

The device manager, as good as it is, doesn't always look for updates at the right place.
Personalized software made by the manufacturer does a much better job.
It connects to the manufacturers database where it will always find the latest updates.

Just try it, I am almost certain it will find an update.

I looked up my graphics card info using DirectX diagnostic tool and it doesn't say I have GeForce. I don't understand why it said GeForce in the console.log.

so should I look up Radeon's website and search for driver updates?

Open your device manager and tell us what it says under the Display Adapter.
(Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Device Manager>Display Adapter)

You likely have the wrong display drivers installed for your device, the reason it showed a different device in your console.log.
Try to find your right device, and download the drivers for that from the manufacturer's site.
