do you think math is less important for computers...?
i think it's one of the most prominent aspects of it
i was jokingly saying something about his way of seeing algebra as useless*
*because it's the way they teach us it

Public schools hold you back, and then you have the perverted staff and bullies and mass shootings.
They claim to be there to teach you "important life skills" and then they never teach you how to pay your taxes or how to tie your shoes or how to pay off a speeding ticket or how to write a check or how to operate an ATM or pretty much everything that is actually important.

Nobody is going to ask you about what lead up to the events of WW1 or how Conquistadors invaded South America during a Walmart job interview; There are other jobs, but you have to be real lucky to get a good job other than some McDonalds / Wall-of-mart job.

I'm going to take a crack at being self-employed, and get into software.

Instead of doing it at home, go to the library or Starbucks or some place like that and do it. When I'm home I don't have any motivation to do my homework, so when I'm on campus and have a break I go to the library or cafe and have a lot more motivation to study and do my homework.

Looks like someone's headed to Harvard!

Wait til the last minute, that'll get you motivated  :cookieMonster:

But seriously, try to force yourself to do it. Keep thinking "When I'm done with this, I can relax."
And don't be on the forums while doing it, that also helps.

I honestly don't get why we learn things like algebra for 1 hour and 30 minutes a day when we never use it. The schools can only teach that kind of stuff because parents would get angry if their child was learning a bit less of the highest subject.
i used to think that too but now i use algebra pretty much all the time when i have to calculate stuff (even if it's just calculating stuff for fun). and don't get me started on how much i use it in my engineering courses.

Find a tutor who will give you blow jobs if you finish your homework

dunk it in the trash and tell your teachers to forget off
i really don't see the concept in graded homework
they say it's practice but then they grade it and it often counts for a lot in your grade
aren't we supposed to do this stuff in school?
and we are in school for like ~7-9 hours so why do more work when we could relax?
lol its 10% for me

yeah but not everyone wants to build love slave robots
hot police robos > love slave robos

personally I game and do work at the same time
it's good for thinking
and it's good for code dumps

and all the math classes tend to be fun, at my school there was optional homework for the top math classes because they figured if you needed it, you would do it
all the other people had homework though :D

Do it right away when you get home next time.

Today, just get over it and do the homework.

Like I try to do that, but then I literally sit there and stare at the piece of paper and not do it =L I just lose every ounce of motivation.

I'm really frightened this will be a huge problem for I'm only in my freshmen year of highschool.
