Blockland is getting old

I like Blockland because I like to build. I don't need big updates, I don't need big addons, all I need I already have.
I wish people would stop bitching about all this claiming that "oh boo hoo, Blockland is dead", cause it's not.
Play the game and enjoy it or don't and leave.

i'm kinda worried that badspot will shut off the master server in a couple years. that'd really upset me, because half of my daily activity would be gone.

oh well, hopefully he finds something to do with his life, for the better.

Age of time is still up so i'd expect badspot to just leave the master server on when blockland dies.

Even though blockland is not dieing, the simple thought of a dead blockland is really sad to me, its like the thought of having a favorite pet you have loved for years die someday, its not something you want to ponder.

Even if the master server somehow shuts down, that wont stop players from hosting it themselves through either IP connections or Hamachi and such.

So Blockland will never truly die, aslong as the game itself is still in a functional state when the master server is taken down, if at all.

Blockland never had even a tenth of that at its most popular.

Hackers already have detailed knowledge about the master server. It's only a matter of time until they know enough about the auth server to recreate one.

well yea, but nothing will ever really replace blockland for most of us, that's like asking us to throw out our computers and xboxes and switch to using a Wii, it just won't be the same.

I agree, it really is a unique experience.

I cant think of a game off the top of my head with a similar premise,

IIRC Lego Island, or whatever it was called, was the closest and was shut down.

And besides, I really do like the majority of this community is mature. It makes communicating your ideals and such much easier.
