what danger lol... its just as safe as rooting your android. plus android is garbage when its stock in terms of customization. so good luck with not putting your phone in danger, aka rooting, installing a recovery, maybe having to unlock bootloader first, finding a good custom rom, install it, then mess around with settings.

I've had my iphone 4s for 3 years and I've always liked it but wish that it was less restrictive on stuff.
I might go with a galaxy but idk if I should go for the huge s5 or an s4/s4 mini, idk if it would be a downgrade from an iphone 4s.

Prove the first two wrong. $trinick himself posted a benchmark of modern smartphones and the 5s smashed all of them. The 6 will decimate even the 5. The second thing, is that Apple regulates their Appstore, they review each app so that it at least works, and will not cause harm to the device. Other stores for other smartphones are a cesspool of garbage and bloatware.

rooting can void warranty. and you need root to do some neat things with android
softbrick - unless you purposely pull the plug out when a software is jailbreaking your phone there is no issue. easy recovery is possible
bootloop - easy to recover from. this happens all the time with android

Looking at the numbers like that is useless. The iPhone 6's CPU is 25% faster than the iPhone 5s'. The iPhone 5s crushed the S4 on all tests, but let's add another 25% onto those scores.


5904.9 * 0.75 = 4428.68
So the iPhone 6 could score a 4500 here. The s4, in comparison, scores a 10770. That's almost 2.5x slower.


3451 * 1.25 = 4313.75
So here, the iPhone 6 could score a 4300. The S4 is over at 2570, almost twice as slow.


3347.69 * 1.5 = 5021.54
This one's a GL benchmark, and the graphics are expected to be 50% faster. The S4 has a whopping score of 842.68 -- SIX TIMES slower than the projected value for the iPhone 6.
