iPhones may in be faster than Android, but to be honest, both have reached a point where you're not really going to notice it anyway, right?
I had an iPod touch 4g, and my experience with iOS and how slow my iPod was has really made me dislike iOS in general. I know it's not really fair, but w/e. I then got a comparably priced Android phone (phones are generally more expensive then something like an iPod), and it performed miles better than my iPod ever did, even right out of the box, my iPod would get roasted by my phone.
And then there's simply the look of iOS. Every iteration of it has been ugly, IMO.
