Author Topic: How many CPU cores does Blockland use?  (Read 2144 times)

Basically hosting A BL server from a VPS, you will prob. never need more than 2 cores and 2048 megs of RAM.

I host Blockland servers on my One Core, 1.40Ghz (Pentium M) CPU,
1GB of RAM, and Windows XP Pro.
But it works great, never lags up my computer, and I can use the internet at the same time.
It usually uses up 20% of my CPU.

You won't need 2 cores, as it is a server. It does not do any brick physics as that is a client sided feature. You will only need one core for a dedicated blockland server.

For whatever reason i was assuming everyone uses NFO and their single-core package only gets you a gig of ram, which won't be enough for a large server IMO

One core for the server, one core for other things, such as the OS

EDIT: Unless we're talking about a vps

I wanna make a computer where the only motto is "We need more everything."
