Author Topic: Solar flare hitting earth this weekend?  (Read 3412 times)

Apparently, it's already happened. And, it didn't affect anyone on the ground, only satellites.

Holy crap I had a crazy dream after reading this thread. I dreamt I was in a car and everyone on the streets car just shut down completely. Then I got out of the car and looked up and the sun a was going insane. It looked a lot like sauron from lord of the rings right before he exploded.

You would be surprised how many times a solar flare has hit earth and you didn't even know.

I have a generator that can power the whole house if needed. I'm good.

humanity will become extinct like dinos

unfortunately it isnt :/
i wish it was so we could see a giant supernova

Not only does it take 8 minutes for light to reach us from the sun,

the very second you see it you would be evaporated.

Your ecstasy of sight will be short lived.

this is why i want to move up to northern Canada/Alaska because its cold which is like, my favorite type of weather for some reason and the northern lights look loving awesome even though i haven't seen them yet

i saw that aurora borealis yesterday night

IT WAS loving BEAUTIFUL

(i live in the north part of new brunswick in canada)
wow scrub you live next to me and I didn't see any ._.

so what?
we would die when our sun dies too. i'd rather go seeing something really cool
If you could live for 5 billion years or so, you would see the sun expand and engulf the earth in a downpour of flame and nuclear fusion.

i shoot back at the bastard with my flare gun

that'll teachem

ill just need one of these that covers my entire driveway and im good

solar flares are hitting like all the time

the magnetic field protects us from being GG'd completely. this is what causes aurora borealis

ofc a strong enough one could still get a bit through and screw with our electronics
