Author Topic: Solar flare hitting earth this weekend?  (Read 3393 times)

What info do you guys have about this?

I know it's a 1.6, which is one of the highest in recorded history.

What will you guys do if your internet and/or power shuts off from this?

For me:
No internet = Offline gameplay and digital artwork
No power = lots of traditional drawing/painting, maybe playing board games with my family, and no AC.  And that will suck, especially since it's ARIZONA!

I wouldn't worry. Sure some places could lose communications or power, but I don't think it would be too major.

well the US might die. #outdatedpowergrid

Yeah, you live 2 feet above sea level, therefore you will be toasted extra crispy.

But really, probably not.

What's this about a solar flare? I'm too disconnected from reality to know this.

What's this about a solar flare? I'm too disconnected from reality to know this.

Occasionally the sun, with it's nuclear reactivity goodness, will spurt out these tendrils of sun goop that themselves release heat.

Since one will be interjected from the sun in our direction, the heat and possible power affecting abilities of said spurts will be intensified.
