also if it was ddosed you wouldn't be able to connect at all

newbies servers are faster than this, and ive upgraded my internet a little. im downloading a loving cracker 1.1 and which is taking 7 min. Also ddos doesnt necessarily disable the network, it can make it slower though

It disables access until the attack subsides AFAIK. Most NPC's that get ddosed end up like that.
