china is trying to "rule out free elections for the city's leader", so the hong kongers have stormed the area's hq in protest

tl;dr china is communist. hong kong was former british colony but now under chinese rule. china tries to impose further restrictions on hong kong autonomy. hong kong students rise up in protest.
