At 6PM GMT, a rocket carrying three astronauts was launched from Wellington's Space Centre and landed on the lunar surface. The three astronauts are New Zealander, Mr. Mundy, Australian Mr. Irwin and famed Chinese table tennis player, Mr. Ping. 5 flags have been placed on the moon based on their help to the New Zealand Space Program. The flags of the Soviet Union, Hungary, China, New Zealand and Australia are now on the moon.





We hope this inspires future generations to explore the universe further than we have.
