Well I wouldn't say everyone. Not by a long shot. If that was the case then the NSA would never have been allowed to exist.
I'd say there's a bit of a difference between 'enjoying privacy' and 'wanting to invade the privacy of others'. They're not necessarily mutually exclusive. I stand by what I said about pretty much everyone enjoying privacy.

This is actually a relatively new concept.
Says who? Sure, not all cultures value things like clothing and secluded housing, but everyone has some concept of privacy. I mean, how many cultures do you know of that have love right and out in the open? Pretty rare.

It's disturbing how someone can look at what they believe and what they've learned from living in one country and assume all people from all places in all times shared a similar set of values. That's pretty ignorant, sorry mate.
No, I'm making this blanket statement based on what I've learned about humans in general, not just Americans. You're the one assuming that I'm conflating what the United States values as privacy with every other human society without any regard for how cultures are different from eachother  :cookieMonster:

How he views privacy is completely out-of-line with how everyone else in the United States views privacy.
the majority is comprised of stupid people; this isn't news.

Nothing is wrong with carrying a copy of the constitution or knowing the law, but from the looks of it the guy who made this video purposefully the video to look like a victim.

His plan was probably this: Make a video, spew out all these laws, give the cop a hard time, make him look bad, then everybody feels sorry for him.

What probably happened before: This guy was driving really badly, cop performs a traffic stop, guy acts all suspicious, strong smell of weed.

Weed has been decriminalized at this point in many states, smelling a little weed isn't a big deal more. However If the smell is really potent, comes from the car and the trunk, then it is probably safe to assume that this guy hauling a lot of weed. Under the Carol doctrine he can search the car without a warrant. He can also cite the driver for smoking with a minor present in the back.

Bad cops exist, bad people that go out to abuse our rights exist, but the balance of power must be maintained.

half way through the video it just seems like a loop of the cop saying "sir I can smell marijuana in the car" following with the dude basically going "NU-UH NOPE"

Just let him check the car god damn, if you really don't have anything to hide then why would you be so resistant to a simple check?

the majority is comprised of stupid people; this isn't news.
You're essentially making the inverse of an ad populum argument. Just because the majority is stupid and the majority likes privacy doesn't mean that privacy should be invaded.
