They're dead.
A shame. They should have been paraded around like the very slaves they own.

Ezbatan soldiers pile up the bodies and burn them outside the city walls.

In the first Ezbatan district, Ezbátu bans slavery.  In the OTA Northern Trading District, Ezbátu proposes that slavery be banned.  Ashibia, being poor and heavily reliant on its slave trade, asks that it be allowed to keep the slave trade within its own nation.  The OTA North Trading District engages in debates regarding the role of slavery in OTA nations.

Slavery is an immoral practice that dehumanizes our fellow man and makes him dependent on the very crop you sell. Ban it.

By the parables of Notarci IV, "By having compassion upon the hare by sparing its life, the wolf is condemned to suffer."  Ezbátu believes that slavery should be banned in Ashibia for the sake of the slave, but does not believe it is proper justice to simply transpose the suffering in a society that us not their own.

In the case of Ytsur, it is a nation of immense riches built on the backs of slaves.  It can afford to have redistributed wealth.  Ashibia's most wealthy do not own half of what the common noble of the Islamic Empire or Ezbátu owns.

Small numbers of Orthodox Christian missionaries from East Ezbátu move out to Ytsur to try to convert the populace.  (Unbeknownst to any national entity or international organization.)

The amount of riches matters not, rather it is the actions and ideals that define them.

Anyways, Galaumia begins to build up their infrastructure. They create aqueducts to bring water into Chijidan, they also build taverns, libraries, and public forums, for citizens to express their opinions amongst government advisors. Trade into Avalonia increases, as Galaumia builds better, wider roads into the rest of the Islamic Empire and Ezbátu. Galaumia excuses the poor and Clergy from taxes, and encourages the rest of the Islamic Empire to do the same. Other religions are now more tolerated in Galaumia, to the extent that others are felt welcome instead of outcast like before.

As a result of such actions as being accepting of infidels, Irajinad sends inquisitors to Galaumia.

The government never claimed they accepted infidels. It's just that some populations in Galaumia now do not outcast infidels. A barely noticeable change from the outside.

Eh, good point.  Void that then.

The king grows ill. With his final act, an act many assume caused out of dementia, he calls for the death of all those that do not believe in THE monotheistic god. Thus calling for many of the Galaumians that believe in the old gods, they go into hiding in the desert surrounding Galaumia.  Public executions are held in the capital, as the crazed king sits from a throne, looking onwards.

Ivål Tsuri II comes to power, following the death of his father.  Tsuri II issues new public programs, and encourages the advancement of the arts and philosophy.  Tsuri personally funds the opening of more colleges and schools through the Ezbatan sphere.  He advises the people that they should seek to better themselves and become free thinkers.

In lieu of the thread~

Programs by Tsuri II, now in place for 30 years, have allowed many people to become educated that did not have the resources to do so, however, Tsuri finds himself in a difficult situation.  In order to provide for these programs, schools have become impacted, and taxes had to be raised to support these programs, and to facilitate a growing middle class, the tax has mainly fallen on the wealthy nobles, which have for a time seen very little or no taxes.

Dang I forgot about this, I'm going on vacation this weekend until sunday night - I can answer some stuff tomorrow but that's about it.
