my grandmother keeps yelling at me and my parents about how "shes going to cut our internet" because its "not needed" and "too expensive" when we have been able to not only pay the bills for the house and internet and stuff but for food and everything else
a few nights ago, she unplugged our router and hid it in her room during the night, when i woke up it was still unplugged, i told her to plug it back in, and my grandmother said "NO!!! IM SELLING IT!!! ITS RUINED OUR FAMILY!!!" and she was obviously having another hissy fit because she cant handle me using the internet, she constantly says that "where on edge your lucky to be fed!!" and she also constantly complains about how "we dont need the internet in our house"
what does this have to do with anything? well she :
1. has adware filled to the loving brim on her computer
2. has Norton installed on her computer
3. says "Norton is the best anti virus ive had"
4. she thinks that everything i do on the internet is causing her to get viruses AND IM NOT EVEN USING HER COMPUTER

Lets see: One of my friends is extremely good with a computers. He's writing a book about how to program and use a certain device that I'm not going to name so you don't figure out who he is. Another one of my friends knows enough about computers to not get viruses (although he does use a Mac), another one knows his way around computers very well (he's much more knowledgeable on networking, I think) too, and wouldn't download a virus. Then there's one friend who got a virus on his laptop (lol). My dad knows computers well enough not to download viruses, I think, and my mom hardly downloads things except like PDFs or some kind of documents, and she uses a Mac as well.

Yeah, I know Macs aren't impervious to viruses, but there are noticeably fewer Mac viruses than Windows viruses.

And I'll admit, I've gotten a few browser hijackers before I knew to uncheck or bipass certain installations.

My dad actually thought my loving PRINTER stopped working because I hosted a blockland server a few times
inb4 omg ur dad iz a handicapd

EDIT: Last year he wouldn't let me download a different antivirus because he thought it would give me viruses...

Also, my friend basically gets a virus from everything he downloads because he uses third party sites and clicks on the ad 'Download" buttons instead of the actual ones

My mom thought steam was a virus, she thought avast was fake my dad blamed me for installing steam on his Mac and that is supposedly a "virus". my brother forgeted up my moms old laptop so I /had/ to put Linux on it because we had no install DVD and then she claimed I ruined it when my brother forgeted with the MBR. I got grounded for installing drivers in her computer because they were a "virus" she took it to some support friend who she had to pay $100 dollars for a charger cable and for a malwarebytes scan. My dad thought Minecraft was fake, also forgot to add my mom fell for one of those fake Norton av things and bought one, all her info was stolen.
It also took my mom two years to trust selling online.
I'm on my phone, too lazy to fix mistakes

All these stories just make me mad. My mom just sticks to her ipad and my dad knows a few things about computers, except he uses cox Security suite plus (a cox version of mcafee). Which I don't really have a problem with becuase I know what's a virus and what's not.
