1) The patient is in isolation voluntarily. He isn't going to try to get out.
2) The virus isn't air born (thank the FSM), but it does spread via direct contact. So, unless someone kissed him or something like that, they didn't catch it.
3) The media will probably try to stir stuff up, but I think a lot of people learned from the H1N1 scare.
On a different note:
If it does start to spread in the US, forget me for living so damn close to Texas...
