The Avas are the second most complete race for DEKKA. my universe i've been working on. the replacements of humans, with hard-nosed personalities and leather-hard skin.

hope you enjoy this! I was working with a skin-toned sketch book on this one.

I wanted to give them that "innsmouth" look.  because I wanted to make them somewhat spooky. which is the entire theme of the planet. it's dark and grim.

Remember this guy?

Well, I finally found him in the game, and his "Deadly Dust" is something that boils dwarves alive upon contact with it.

It was flying around the caverns and breathing this dust all around, boiling the military that I sent to fight it. It killed 8 dwarves and 1 dog until it was finally put down by a lucky shot from a marksdwarf's crossbow. What made it worse, is that the majority of deaths were hammer lords, mace lords, and axe lords. Even my captain of the guard and champion succumbed to his boiling extract.

good god! that sounds violent as all hell. this is making my ideas for this drawing more, and more interesting.
