No not dooble because he doesn't want the position.

how come all the good candidants dont want to be mod

how come all the good candidants dont want to be mod
why would anyone? do you actually genuinely want to deal with this community's problems?

Because then they wouldn't be good candidates.

do you actually genuinely want to deal with this community's problems?
I would, but I don't feel ready to nominate myself.

someone who isn't an starfish

We gotta pick someone who doesn't have any real opinion on anyone in the forum. I feel like a new admin would immediately ban everyone he hates personally. I know I would.
maximum overdealingwiththeproblems

I've seen  good recommendations here except for the facts(?) of:

Greek2Me as stated does not want to be a mod
WALDO may have too much on his schedule
Destroyer I've seen, I'd think he'd be a good mod except he may not have enough time
Sir Dooble I think would be another good choice EDIT: Stated above he doesn't want it
Pecon7 probably does not have the time or is not wanting to
Bisjac I can't honestly go either way
Hodot is the same as above

I can be wrong with the above, but this is from my point of view.

Not trying to be a bigshot or anything, but I'd personally think about modding this forum, if I had the chance to do so. Of course, I'm not well known at all here, but I could get some to vouch for me. Not as many as the others stated above though, just a thought. I'm neutral on a new mod; If we get one, I'll welcome them with open arms(figuratively speaking), if not, I'm still happy with Badspot and Rotondo.

A question popped into my head while writing this: What if it's too much/this said new mod forgets/new mod loses interest/etc? Sure, everyone is capable of losing interest of modding a forum, but if a new mod was selected and was on here for a while then loses interest, or gets caught up with life as I'm sure they would, what then? Sure, no mod has to be on all the time, but not being on enough may get a de-mod and crush any possible mods in the future if this were to happen.

This is my viewpoint, probably a few errors due to being tired, the above was not meant to spark anything.

genuinely surprised at how many people have said my name, thank you very much

Hodot.
Reason being is because we can all honestly trust you.
Not to mention that like 95% of the forums love you.
