It makes my willy seem small.
your willy would still be small even if the universe was a mile long

this. most people dont realize that going faster than light isnt breaking any laws of physics. physics only says information can't travel faster than light.
You can travel faster than the speed of light, and near the speed of light.
You just can't travel AT the speed of light.
How you would get beyond the speed of light without travelling at it however is an entirely different question.

True, but at the very least I have a willy. Always content with that.

its not been proven fully yet and its only theoretical

i recall reading something somewhere about neurons or whatever going faster than light

It's not just theoretical. The only problem with it is it requires a massive amount of energy. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcubierre_drive

If you guys can sit tight without making condescending comments about religion, this star comparison is pretty mindblowing. It goes from smaller planets all the way to the largest known star. I didn't watch this exact video but I've seen it before, and I think it says that so many Earths could fit into XY Canis Majoris that if you shrunk Earth to the size of a golf ball, you could fill the entire state of Texas two feet deep in golf balls to equal the amount of Earths that fit inside the massive star.

It's not just theoretical. The only problem with it is it requires a massive amount of energy.
well... yeah it is. unless you're telling me we've actually used such a thing to travel faster than light

it's the majesty of God's creation :)

when I look out there into those stars, I see how good my God is, and how awesome and creative he is. It just makes me want to worship him even more!

On that note, tonight is my church's Youth Fellowship out at the beach; we're going stargazing with high-powered telescopes. I'm really excited!

So long as we're talking about probe pictures

I was scrolling down and as I read this I just thought 'no....' to myself.

i know that we're small, but i can't really grasps imaging that size
for example, i can imagine a tennis ball to a person, but i can't really imagine a planet to a galaxy or a cluster
i always imagine it as it still pretty big, in detail too

we are small
no bugs are small
we are medium
everything else is too big >:o
