i dont think trees could survive there

you could make the terrain repeat a bit and release this is a gmod map...

No problem, easy fix up. I might add caves too for, you know, exploring.

That's nice, You could soften up the ground a bit. The airboat was jumping a bit.

I was trying a little to hard to resemble the original slopes, since physical interaction and collision is a tad different in the Source Engine, it made this look and feel rough.
I would defiantly smooth these areas out and also fix some of the spike-y unrealistic areas.

Maybe also add in more detail to the slopes like rock cliffs and pine trees if that's for any confort.

I'm not quite finished with polishing it up, hence how the whole thing was composed of one non-blending texture and some water. I'll redo the texture port and add in some of the rocky/icy textures the original Slopes had.

Is that still Gmod, or the actual port?

Are you the same guy who tried to pull that stuff with the bedroom? It ended up being gmod and a few vehicle spawns.

Because those shadows/fog/emitters or whatever they are tell me that it couldn't possibly be within Blockland's engine.

I have yet to watch the video.

I'm quite certain he is making the static shape in gmod, then porting it to the game judging by the video's description.

Ok I get it now. I HOPE it gets ported and integrated with wrapps static shape modification.

*The images* were a joke, it's not Garry's mod, I just rigged a few things for v_models and built this using a similar building system I made a long while back. Clearly this isn't the actual game.

No, I not this person you speak of. This is just a side project of the actual thing. The video is just me using Source SDK base 2013 utilizing the airboat for the terrain.

It's in the works for sure, I'm just worried because there is a few other people actually doing the same project.

OH MY BELOVED SLOPES!
I THOUGHT I WOULD NEVER SEE YOU AGAIN!

no joke: i genuinely miss terrain and interiors an incredible deal; this will definitely be a huge incentive for me to play Blockland more often. Can't wait!

Clearly the hammer is backwards. :(

It's a fairly accurate recreation, and isn't half bad.
But my goodness, it does remind me how ugly Blockland maps were.
Not meaning offence to you of course, as you're just recreating them.

No skis  :panda:

But really, this is very nice! I wish you luck on the project

I'm honestly surprised only one person noticed...

I was expecting everyone to go crazy.

Well... It's SHAPING up

Working out the collision a bit, and deciding on the scale of the actually item. I can make it a bit bigger (and more detailed) than the old so it makes it more (interesting?) then possibly add the repeatable for a few times.

This version has nasty low poly count, this is being experimented on atm.

Going back and playing the ol' Slopes for a few times realizing how small it actually was. I hope this cuts it for an update I guess.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the textures are coming along as well.
