the lake area isnt at the division line though... i dont see how it would be a problem.

The problem is filling the lake. You can fill it with water bricks, I guess. I can't really make an area water specific with static shapes.

Oh, that wouldn't be a problem anyways. The lake was the lowest-elevation area on the original slopes map. Its water was supplied by an underlying water level that spanned across the entire underside of the map.
We could easily recreate such an effect just by using the water level modifier in the in-game environmental control panel.

Logically this is the best way to go, I'm going to stick with this idea for now. Thanks for the support!
Make it loop a couple times first, maybe create 9 copies to make a square of slopes or something

Why not just write a script that duplicates it infinitely as players move?

Wouldn't that cause a large amount of lag if a person just decides to jet really far away?

Maybe script it so it renders for each person but then disappears when said person gets too far away?

duplicating it infinitely doesnt sound like a feasible option at all.
It would probably be easier to just have it repeat one or two times out (that's a pretty far-enough distance anyway for nearly any kind of desired gameplay).

I would say this is the best bet to executing this map in a good way.

Sorry for leaving without notice, I've had a pretty busy week so far. I'll try to make full effort to produce some feasible content for your pretty little eyes.

This response is based on my experience with something simmilar to this

I loaded a save but forgot to put the bedroom shape on, no problem, just load the shape. Now the bricks act like they are floating

This may not be a problem if its built, removed, then readded back when players get back in its chunk, but i can't be for certain.

how long until it'll be releasable?

this is hl2 stop thinking its blockland

Why not just make it so once you reach the end of one slope it teleports you to the beginning of the other, like some sort of screen
wrap around thing.
