Nooz
We are underway on our next act,
Currently there are updates released every monday wednesday and friday.

Lemme tell u bout dem Homestuck

In short: a semi-interactive webcomic. It began following the success of Andrew Hussie's experience in the medium of interactive fiction through Problem Sleuth, the noir/absurdist story of a hardboiled detective. The story follows 4  16  33+ infinite alternate reality itterations children in their journeys through a transdimensional videogame in the quest to save existence itself. Hussie's style often pokes fun at popular culture and video games, and while the current story takes a while to pick up relative to his previous works, there is obviously alot more time and consideration put into the current endevour. To read someone else's summary who had more time to write about this, check out this image:

Here discuss your favorite/not so favorite parts of the story, try to keep it mostly spoiler free, although that is obviously hard to avoid when discussing something so exciting that you cant help but blab to your friends every theory you have about the latest plot twist.
Also let me know if you think something else should be added to this post.

So why do people hate this exactly? I never got very far in the story but people seem to jump with torches and pitchforks any time it's mentioned

about time

well i mean i did try that one time but it died young :'(

A combination of the general idea in culture of disliking something that is "too popular" / or "too nerdy" (which is a weird combination this comic seems to have achieved in society) and that alot of Homestuck fans tend to be a tad overexhuberant relative to other fandoms. I never heard anyone say they hate the actual story, though I could just be sheltered.

pretty much
the way that the story can be so complex and still understandable is pretty damn nice, but the fans tend to be pretty annoying people

i just hate most of the community because

still one of my favorite pesterlogs

oh wait i forgot bbc
im gonna do some sort of an acrobatic loving PIROUETTE off the handle and win a medal or some stuff

Not everyone appreciates the changes the story made throughout it but I felt it was acceptable given the direction everything was going, if not underwhelming relative to how obnoxious he could have made it, and the timing of the pause was acceptable I believe for him to allow the story to take a step back. While I expect some sort of anti-climax very soon into the next string of updates in accordance to the cyclical style of his writing, I am still excited to see what happens next.

bladekindeyewear suggests it's a bait-and-switch and has absolutely no meaning so it must mean nothing
