wtf is a blood clot
Blood in its normal form is free flowing. It consists of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma. Whenever you get a cut that bleeds, once the bleeding stops it is said that the injury has clotted. The blood will either harden up completely or take more of a goo-like, less free flowing form. Having blood clots form without and injury though is not normal. It will generally make a "ball" of blood at a location.
The problem is if the clot breaks free, it can travel up the vein. If a clot reaches the heart, it is fatal.
Hope you get better soon Dan.
