Oklahoma blamed Muslims for the Oklahoma City bombing.
Wasn't this right after 9/11 when the muslim discrimination started?

It's not fair to some people to grade PE based on performance.
It's really a grey area for a lot of stuff, though.
There was one girl I remember in my PE who was just fat, and didn't care
She talked quite a bit about eating at McDonalds on an almost daily basis
She got offended about her weight very easily
But they couldn't really do anything about it. She would refuse to participate in a lot of activities because of how poor her shape was, and so the teachers had to decide what they were going to do.

That's the kind of case that's bothersome to everybody, and doesn't fit into the system well. In a public school, it's just impossible to deal with people like that.

She had a lot of other stuff going on too, though. The environment that she grew up in must have been absolutely awful, and I do feel bad for her, but at the same time, you have to take responsibility at some point.

unless they're GAY
even then they don't
unless ur a football player ;)

it's annoying how soft schools are on people who refuse to take care of themselves, but apparently it's not politically correct to acknowledge obesity and malnutrition or something.

I saw this video of a gym class, and when they were doing this ctf game, all the girls just stood back in a cluster, avoiding the ball, and screaming whenever it came to them

I think the system works fine. Think about it. If your parents didn't really push you to be athletic as you grew up, you're going to end up unskilled and possibly overweight/obese. These factors are outside of your control. This doesn't mean you're pretending being obese is healthy or fine. My PE program is based on effort, doesn't mean we don't do anything. We regularly do fitness runs and the general policy is you have to be moving.

My parents didn't push me to do anything. I am still healthy.

It's perfectly within your control how your body is formed, what the forget?

there's no reason it's the school's job to keep its students healthy

I sorta is
I get two out of three meals a day from school, and I'd rather not die because the school food clogged my arteries. Im not the only one to eats like this too.

slightly more on topic:
if anything, PE needs to be more intense and less forgiving, if you're fat then you need to work it off
there's this kid in my class who just walks the whole day because he's loving 250 pounds and cant be assed to play baseball like everyone else
