Beam.ng drive is a soft-body realistic car simulator of sorts, where you can crash cars into other cars and stuff with realistic environments and tons of customizations. It's still in development, but it can be purchased in its current state for people to forget around with. As it sits, there's not much default content in the came, roughly five or so vehicles to play with on five or so maps. However there is a modding community found on their website and it keeps people entertained until the full game is released.

Currently it cannot be purchased on Steam, but it is redeemed through Steam. It costs $20 as it sits right now. There is a demo.

The website is here. For more information, it's best to simply look it up on YouTube.

I bought it a while ago. really fun

runs well with I5, 630m + gamebooster just for a little more performance

looks like rigs of rods but less infuriating

I don't see it saying that anywhere? It looks like it's made in CryEngine 3.

Beam.ng drive runs on Torque 3D, actually.

Are you loving with me or something? It says right on the website: "Wow. The destruction code nerd in me finds this soft-body physics in Cryengine 3 really, really impressive."

"In late May 2012, BeamNG released a video on YouTube titled "Revolutionary soft-body physics in CryEngine3" (See video here). Originally, BeamNG was to be based on the CryEngine3 rendering engine but throughout development, the team rolled its development over to an engine called Torque3D [1] BeamNG.drive relies heavily on coding in Lua. The Lua script is used to provide information to the game about the vehicle as well as to control aspects of the game."

It's made by the RoR devs in Torque3D.

Hi can somebody tell me the release date in Steam?

There is no actual release date. The game isn't finished.
If you mean when it first got put on Steam, that'd have been February 20th of this year.

Do the vehicles drive like vehicles or like blimps like RoR?

More like cars.
The really fast ones feel like toy cars driven by a kid though.

Cars are practically uncontrolable and slide around like they are on a giant oil slick slip and slide.

"But it's so realistic..."

I can drive my car at home better than the cars in this game.
