use inkscape instead of illustrator. it's free, open-source, and in my opinion better

When they moved from CS6 to Creative Cloud to combat piracy.

Since I was able to learn about 80% of all Photoshop's features when I was my Photo class in high school, I couldn't possibly use any other program. It's such a powerful tool and I love it.
