Author Topic: Gas Prices [We're in a freefall]  (Read 4005 times)

Gas is falling ever more. Missouri is going to fall below the $2 mark any day now. Using GasBuddy, the lowest regular ethanol price is $2.11/gal. The news is advertising some BP stations with gas at $1.99 with purchase of car wash.

Quote from: Old OP, if relevant to anyone
In the area where I live, gas is the lowest I've seen in half a decade. Just the other day, they were on average down to $2.59, but I saw $2.52 at another station and $2.39 with car wash.

Much better than the $3.29 - $3.99 we had to live with before. Can't imagine California.

at one point in illinois it was $5 per gallon

Is this somehow linked to Total's CEO death?

Apparently these low gas prices could cause an economic collapse because governments are loosing hundreds of millions of dollars of tax money

$2.97 here
lelelellelel

my car gets 16 MPG
and i am happy

that wouldnt be an issue if they werent spending so much

gas is really cheap here in south carolina,

it usually goes from 3.25 to 2.60

Prices are low because the U.S. is producing more and more oil on its own which is causing the OPEC nations to flip their stuffs, so I think I heard the idea is that eventually as the prices dive more expensive U.S. drilling operations will have to halt while the less expensive OPEC operations will continue.

Or something like that, honestly I couldn't care. I need to run and get some gas now so I don't have to pay stufftons when they bounce back up.

Here's a good read about OPEC:

In my country if you exchange the $ ratio to our currency gas here is like 0.01$ or even less then that Lol.

edit: 1$ is 100 or so in my currency. one full tank is like 2-5

South America always has really cheap gas.
i dont think thats true, only venezuela and like one or two more have cheap gas i believe

in argentina gas costs around $1.5 per liter. that would be $5.6 per gallon i think

Yeah I paid $3.24 today, last time I got gas before today was two weeks ago and it was like $3.65

$2.79 was the lowest I've seen :0

Which country would that be?

Yah, I've been wondering this too.

I know what it is; all the gas car companies are feeling the pressure from Tesla, and thus they've appealed to the US government to somehow make gas prices cheaper!
