I have a dell inspiron and when i want to build my numpads dont work. I have another computer and the numpads work on that?

Did you choose the option that you had numpad when you installed the game?
Check if the controls aren't set to "K, L, M & O"

In your options dialog, look in the controls section and either use the rebinding tools there or set the keybinds for building directly to what you want them to be,
