My entire family is computer illiterate, so they eventually install so many viruses on a computer that it is unusable.

If you are asking what software I use on Linux, then I use openbox or i3 (I have both installed) with URxvt as my terminal, PCManFM as my file manager, and Firefox as my web browser.

By that I meant I had to switch from my tower to my laptop and to play minecraft on my laptop on my own server I have to set up a display so all cords can reach and not be a hassle to put back the way it belongs.

TL;DR

Put my bedroom TV on my desk to play minecraft on off my laptop so it wouldn't be a pain in the ass to use my tower and its monitors instead to host the server.
