Author Topic: I cant play block land help!  (Read 1266 times)

i have just got Blockland yesterday it has been working fine. when i went to play it today it came up with this error message. I have deleted and re downloaded the game but it still says this.

Blockland - BlobcContainer::snapshotBuffer(2) - sqlite error ' data base disk image is malformed'. Ensure that 'C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Blockland' is writble

Thanks :D

Are you using the Mac or Windows version? Are you playing through steam or do you have the Blockland launcher?

Check through your BL files and make sure they're not set to read-only.

Go to your Steam\steamapps\common\Blockland folder and try deleting the file "cache.db".

read only?

Go to your Steam\steamapps\common\Blockland folder and try deleting the file "cache.db".
i did it didn't work.

If you uninstall from Steam, do any files get left behind? (Steam\steamapps\common\Blockland)
If so, can you give us a list?
Delete them and try and install Blockland again.

Right click on the Blockland folder in your steam directory. Click properties. Look for "Read-Only", if it's checked, uncheck it. If it isn't come back here and we'll check more folders.

Also, if you went with deleting some files like cache.db as Pecon suggested, i believe you need to verify local game content in steam as well.

I deleted blockland there are  6 files Add-Ons,base,config,screenshots
Inside config there is client and server. they are all empty.

I left blockland on and there was another message but in the actual game saying there is could be a problem with a 3rd party security program. One of my drivers stopped working  when i logged into my PC the day the game broke called star-force security. i never knew i had it i have uninstalled it but it still doesn't work.
