they will charge what people are willing to pay for it.
if i ran a business i wouldnt give 2 stuffs about normalcy or fairness. if the people are willing to throw cash at me ill hike up the prices.

was going for "not on sale" because I think the $60 standard is loving stupid but I did take a look at the last few games I bought for around that price or higher:
Guilty Gear Xrd pre-order = $76, but it's the limited edition
Gundam EXVSFB = $99, but it's an import of a special version and the game is awesome
Shadow Warrior 2013 = $35, pre-ordered for $5 off but that was worth it because the game is great
I bought fallout: new vegas for $2 and that was a good deal

I typically avoid anything over $20, but if something really interests me then I'll take a look at it
in fact, the only game I will ever pay $60 for is GTA V on the PC, and I'm waiting for a preorder
