literally won me a samson run where i did boss rush and Satan.

also i unlocked "the negative" from killing satan multiple times. is that normal and i just get the polaroid from cathedral wins or is something screwy going on?

Yep. You get Negative pieces with satan kills (Don't know if each piece needs separate characters) and The Polaroid from Isaac Kills.

You get a choice of the two when you kill mom.

i just found it kinda weird cause when i killed satan, the file select thing showed a normal looking picture, whereas killing isaac put on a fully darkened photo piece over it, which made me think the isaac one unlocked the negative.

well I just had a super stuffty thing happen
I was playing blue baby and got the Leo item that allows you to break rocks by stepping on them

so I was in a devil room, trying to decide what to take, and I accidentally step on the rock behind satan which turns out to be a EXPLOSIVE rock that sends me flying right into the deal for 3 spirit hearts for Brother bobby

Well, a double Monstro II room put me down to half a heart, and i didn't have a lot of health to begin with. Next room was 4 giant brains and thats where i died.

Tried to unlock The Lost and didn't get it—I did the Maggie death on Caves II, is that the problem? All my other steps were correct.

I'll try again later. On the other hand, just got Golden God. Beat The Lamb with Azazel. Two runs in a row I got Ludavico with brimstone—the second time, I also had Guppy's head so it was kind of a cinch.

Ludavico doesn't affect Guppy's head. It's still just the brimstone snowflake, but with both those lasers at your disposal, you're unstoppable.
