Beat my first run
Same.
Ran into some sort of "dice" room that seemed to have randomized ALL of my items. IT saved my ass too.
Game is so smooth its great.
EDIT: Curse of darkness does not remove the map. Instead, it darkens the rooms.
Mini boss fights lock the doors with iron bars in order to prevent bombing out i assume
Mini boss rooms can also have secret rooms next to them, and if you bomb it during the fight, its blocked until the fights over
