I haven't even been able to get past Cave I yet

i watched like over 500 videos of binding of isaac and played the original like 10 runs tops.
you tend to learn a lot of strategies that really help you.

you don't need to watch videos of the game though. ive avoided those videos and i beat mom's heart/it lives constantly in the original and i beat mom in rebirth after my 3rd try

still, those videos taught me a lot of useful strategies, all i needed the gameplay for after that point was to just get a feel for the controls and then i was good to go.
its probably a lot better to just play and get better through that though.

also i beat shoel before i even "beat" moms heart, get on my level.

I was about to fight Isaac and definitely win, but I found that loving room that randomizes your items or whatever and lost everything good that I had. rip :(
There is an item in this game that completely blocks projectiles wherever you are aiming

I still haven't gotten to isaac. Killed mom 9 times and satan twice. only died twice. One was because of stuff items and the other was from Sheol.

I only died twice and that's cause one time I was playing Hardmode, and another time was cause Hardmode AND I got this dumb item that made me teleport out of rooms whenever I took a hit.


Gotta love the people who say this game is worse than the original

And this is why we don't take things seriously. This game is a disaster, it has a few flashy gimmicks like synergizing items and new characters, but where it really counts it sucks.

Uncreative new bosses like "Mega Fatty" and "Dingle", Voices that lack any real emotion where as hearing the original Mom say "ISAAC!" is scary, the new one is bland and lifeless, normal enemies repackaged as bosses like "Gargle"

Sometimes the game runs impossibly fast, sometimes it runs slowly, and that's if I can even get this to run at all. You guys are fooled by the "New Game Smell", but once it wears off you'll see what I see. A lame cash in from Edmund who clearly doesn't care about making games. Just repackage BOI lazily, call it the version you "Meant to make" like you're George Lucas. Why not? He made Super Meat Boy, Time ♥♥♥♥, and Binding Of Isaac, he's done enough. SMH!

There are over a hundred new items, new enemies, better engine, etc.
The graphic style is like that on purpose.
