Challenge runs don't count as wins now, but neither do they count as losses.
Speaking of challenges, Solar System is a pain in the ass to beat and so is waka waka.

Im sure purist is also difficult, but it was difficult in the first one too.

dingle forgets me over when i do head trauma

Purist was a bitch to do in the original

So i have High brow, cursed, "Its in the cards", Slow roll, and Computer savy all done.

Cursed was kinda a challenge and "Its in the cards" got a little tough near the end, though i found out what "Credit card" and that little stone does. That thing is amazing.

EDIT: Just beat Issac. I was maggy. Things were looking pretty bleak mostly through, got the fire rate odd mushroom and anti gravity, which was good until i fought a black demon boss wrapped in bandages in the necropolis. Would have been easier if i went to the item room first, because inside was polyphemus.
With that, everything was kinda a breeze, but everything got even better when i found crickets head and book of belial, which just made the game right there. got to isaac safely with and emperor card. Also, the Trinity Shield is OP. Makes all the bullets spammers easy. Isaac, unlike moms heart, is kinda easier now, or that just might be the shield/Polyphemos talking.

Sorry for double post, but i feel as if this needs another post.

I tried out hard mode and I noticed some subtle differences.

Champions o not drop consumables, or if they do, it is rarer (I only got a pill from one, but no health or bombs from the many others before)
Either it was my stuffty luck or its a feature, but consumables drop far, far less.
Bosses don't drop any health, or again, stuffty luck.
Chests only drop 1 consumable (might be bad luck)
Curses are far more prominent.
Enemies do NOT do more damage. Instead, hearts are just a bit more hard to find, which makes getting hit more dangerous.
I might have missed over some stuff, but thats what i observed. I was doing pretty good untill i found a room full of double vis and chubbers, and lots of rocks and spikes. It was a bad room.

computer savvy challenge is pretty easy with the whole homing lazer buisness
still not a cakewalk though

I think i found the trick to Head Trauma. If you shoot backwards (facing away from the enemy) You can hit them with tears immediately.

Also dark bum is definitely worth it if you find him in the devil room. 1 red heart=1 spirit heart, so if you have full health, he will convert any extra red hearts into spirit hearts.

Still don't know what the goat head does.

forget the item that makes it so you sometimes teleport whenever you take damage

You don't even want to know how many times I had to fight mom, get her to like 10% HP, only to get hit once and tele'd out of the room.

I know about the crystal skull and some other item in the original, but this must be a new item. I haven't gotten it yet.

I've gotten it twice so far.

I love those runs where you don't feel like your items are that good and you still win

Is it possible to turn off the guts and extra effect stuff
It's lagging my game like hell

Check the binding of Isaac subreddit, someone found out how to make a config file that disables various extra effects.

is this ever going to have mod support

So ipecac isn't so bad anymore. It will explode on contact with an enemy and it only does 1/2 heart of damage to yourself. If combined with a non-tear, it will instead give 100% poison. If combined with tough love, the teeth are big explosions and do more damage. When it explodes, it shakes the room like with a super troll bomb.
