Despite how Blockland has degraded over the years, it's not the freaking end of the world. Newer games come along that work similarly, at least on a fundamental level, to take its place for those who just don't enjoy playing this game any more.
I think there's plenty of promise left in what Blockland has to offer, but since online play is such a crucial element of Blockland's success as a game, it becomes a really bad experience when you take into account the terribly out-of-control in-game community. Just look at all the dramas going on with Tezuni, Glass's and Ravencroft's servers. Don't like those servers? You have little choice then but to play on the servers that are quality but have nobody playing on them. It sucks, but that's just how it is. You've gotta move on and quit living in the glory days.
