Look at dat professional paint.net job.

So, I've had an iPhone 4S for 3 probably bordering on 4 years now, and while the whole Apple experience was fun, and I've built up a game and music library that I'll obviously miss, I need to move on. The first smartphone I owned was a Droid Eris, (look it up, seriously), and while that was probably the single stufftiest technological experience I've had in my adolescence, I want to try android again, as it has seemingly matured to surpass even iOS in productivity, (which honestly, is that really hard?).

Anyways, I'll be on contract for the standard 2 years, and what I'm looking for in a smartphone is 4G LTE, a camera that is worth a stuff, not beast processing power, but no low-end stuff, and a battery that could last maybe two days while not under load for the majority of that duration. I've found that the Moto X is pretty appealing, the customizable stuff is cool. But I need the forums' collective experience to tell me which android phone is the best for everyday use.

The Moto X I customized:

It's a 32 GB, so $150 with a contract. I'm still looking around though, and there's no real rush. So discuss some androids people. :)

Get it. I have a Moto G; it's great.

How's the battery life on the Moto G?

How's the battery life on the Moto G?
I can't say really, cause I use it with every radio off except WiFi (I use it like one would a tablet). With that on, I can easily get 4-5 hours with the screen on on auto.

Other people say battery life is pretty good though, so yah, it's good.

But I'd still get this Moto X instead.

Also does anyone know if the newest android version will run on the moto x 2?

I figured it was getting it, but are there going to be any performance problems?

Also Tom, that is perhaps the loveiest home screen I've ever seen.

no. right now it BLAZES on my nexus 5. depends on what motorola does to the code. they're really good with keeping it close to stock so you might have no problems.

Wait, I thought Motorola manufactures Nexus's too?

they MAKE the nexus 6. LG made the nexus 5. google does the updating for the nexus devices.

the others have to pull the AOSP code from google and work from there to build for their phones/tablets.
