My Milkshape's 3D Preveiw is Broken [Fixed]

Author Topic: My Milkshape's 3D Preveiw is Broken [Fixed]  (Read 2560 times)

So it seems that my Milkshape randomly ate stuff sometime last night and decided to break on me.
What it appears to be doing is rendering the objects in sequential order from first to last placed.

Looks like this:

You can see in the wireframe previews that I should not be seeing that in the 3D. Rotating the 3D maintains this order.

What the hell can I do to fix this?
Ive already tried to reinstall it.

Use Blender

You should try posting this in General Mod Help, you may get more help there.
Also, just to clarify, it was working fine previously?

Try re-creating the same scenario with a completely new file.

I am pretty sure he recreated that scenario ever since he began having this problem.

I meant start anew and set up the same shapes again and see if it still produces the issue. It may just be a corrupt file or something of the sorts.

All i can say is use blender or 3D Max. i have never had problems with that

This happens on all files loaded into Milkshape.
Also, I know nothing about using Blender. Ive tried and Im not good at it.
Id rather fix my modeling program of choice.

Do you have a NVIDIA graphics card?

Try Right Clicking your 3D view pane and see if anything useful shows up.

Yes I do.
But this was only an issue as of today.

I did that. Messed with all settings.
Nothing worked.

It takes quite a bit of time and energy to learn Blender, but it's worth it. If you tried a full reinstall of Milkshape and any of the support libraries that came with it then there really is nothing you can do.

There is no need to enforce using a certain program into someone if they already have a program they have learnt and know how to use. If he was already happy with Milkshape I bet you he does not need Blender for 95% of the additional functions it supposingly has, most of which take part from rendering, animations, texturing etc.

The first part was meant to link up with the last. If a complete re-install didn't fix it then it is most likely a inherent milkshape error.

ok go on your desktop and right clikc and go on NVIDIA control panel

Then press Add

And add milkshape (i'll do it with blender for a demonstration)

Then press Apply at the bottom right of the window
. Try that and see if it works if not then i don't know.
