How would you improve the animations of a plastic lego Rayman? :cookieMonster:

the blockhead character model seems extremely simple. Why doesn't he make a new one, it shouldn't be THAT much trouble.

I think the issue is animations

The old Shaper can import DTS and export it with its bones intact, but animations can only be exported as DTS, so those can't be recovered

I can't shake the feeling that the current blockhead model has an extremely simple skeleton, with only a bone or two for each appendage and a single torso/hip bone. I'm not sure how that could be animated any further than it already is.

The player model has 82 bones, you have all those nodes for each item, body parts, mount points, and camera and eye points

82 bones seems like a lot of bones. At least we should get a new blockhead AI that has pathfinding, the option to NOT use paint, emotions, etc, and maybe the ability to interact with their environment (IE click shiny buttons) and teammates (take bullets for them, notice if one is being attacked, ect.

They are talking about the default playermodel here, not about the bot.

pathfinding has been done before
and the rest can all be done with events (dunno 'bout the last part though)

This is highly needed, we should rip the old model from the game, give it new animations, and see what Badspot thinks of it.

Just screaming that it needs to be improved doesn't help the people who would want to do it. :P
