My Grandfather has a set about x2 bigger than this in HO scale, in his basement.
He has a little town, railyard, lumberyard, Amtrak railway, ect. It looks really cool.

I was leaning more near N-scale because of the small space I have, but I dont know yet.

I might do N-scale for now, and HO-scale when I get more space to build. Not sure tho.

HO is the best size unless you're doing anything special
good size
more stuff
good prices

If I ever got a space large enough for a WH40K table, I would totally add a small train yard to it, just for stuffs and giggles.

If I do HO-scale, I am planning on using an N-scale SEPTA as a small monirail sortof thing in the city I am planning on building.

Holy stuff, what a bunch of train nerds.

:)

We all know it's O-gauge or no gauge :cookieMonster:

O-scale is horrible for small platforms, its more for going around Christmas trees.

I have several boxes of old lionel track and trains all nice and O-Scale.

Also forget N-scale or HO-scale do Z Scale.

Z scale would be great for the size of my platform, but it is horribly small, hard to find stuff to buy for it, and even harder to connect it to DIY.

you'd be surprised how many different hobbies people here have. not that it's one of mine, but I'm sure there's a handful of people here who do model railroads.
After reading these new posts, I stand completely corrected lol.

I was thinking of making a HO scale table and using Z to make one of those miniature railroads in the forest.

Sounds nice, really.

Using HO for the base and a smaller scale for accesories.

But Instead of Z-scale you might wanna do N-scale.

it depends on how big the people are i might do N if i do N then i'll use Z for a miniature G scale garden track.

z is really only for gigantic constructions when you simply don't have the space otherwise, HO/N are generally better if you have the space.

i do have to say though HO is the best depending on what you have around you, because i used to have a massive model and train shop in booneville but it closed and now the only place i know of that is close enough to me is hobby lobby and they only sell N in the giant sets so i can't do stuff with N, while HO i can buy tracks and cars and locomotives.
