Author Topic: How much effort did you put into your avatar?  (Read 3622 times)

Another user was creating flag-avatars for the forums at request, so I requested an English flag (without the word England, which he had been doing with all others).
Then I went a-googling and found a website dedicated to Metal Slug Sprites, which had LOTS of animated sprites (the website is now gone and most similar websites now just have stills or spritesheets). I downloaded a martian ufo.

I then went a-googling for an online .gif maker, found one, uploaded both images, stuck the ufo on the top of the flag, and done.

So, I created none of the content, but I requested/searched for them and stuck them together using an online tool.

I made my avatar. Took me about 30 minutes to an hour because animation issues somewhere around there. I used to have another one I made which was the guy wearing a top hat and playing with a yo-yo.

Put mine in paint.net then resized it soooo...
A lot of effort!  :cookieMonster:

about -2 was put into my avatar

I added the grinman but that's it

i found a comic on steam
i cropped out one of the frames and made it transparent
then i had a friend re-draw it so it had smoother lines

luigi hat: none, xolerate made it for me
cat: 30-second job: cropped it from an image, made it smaller, put a transparent layer of black over it

None.  The base image was drawn from a different user, and another user just edited in the sunglasses.
