If we were to use a poll, it would have to be one that requires some form of ID at sign-up that can't be (or won't likely be) faked/bypassed. The only logical choice, then, is the forum itself, as a key is required, everyone posting here already has one, and it costs money to get another vote (the unlikeliness factor).

I think this was created before it was known that accounts without keys could vote.

Besides, using a couple spare accounts is one thing, but creating 25 new accounts so someone wins is pants-on-head handicapped and unacceptable.

This rule was also created so people don't complain about people using alts because there's no way to regulate it.

What I was expecting, for example, was if say, Ravencroft wanted a boost, he could just keep logging into his other accounts to vote for himself (or whoever he wanted to win). Had I known that unregistered keys could cast votes, I never would've mentioned it.
