Author Topic: KTE - Known Threat Entity (SCP Game Idea) {Game Concept WIP}  (Read 1967 times)

So I made a game idea, and I want you guys to add on to it.

So go wild with any thing you want to add, I'll put it onto the OP if it's a good one. or even a bad one, idk.

so here it is

You and a small group of people are a rogue company of the GOC, you have stolen information of SCPs and their location and have decided to make it the mission of your company to terminate these SCPs.

Your company went rogue when the GOC wouldn't give them any missions. stuff, I don't know how to word this properly, but your company pretty much wants to invade SCP facilities and terminate any anomolous objects.

The company consists of 10 people:

N/A
N/A
N/A
N/A
N/A
N/A    (I'll let you guys think of their names, standard equipment, and character bios)
N/A
N/A
N/A
N/A

The game will have a "Choose your mission" level selection comparable to Payday, in that some missions will be notably harder and can only be played in heigtened difficulties.

SCP information dossiers that they have stolen:

http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-2083 http://puu.sh/cV4a3/dd3eabb244.txt
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1341
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-230 (Mission to be done with gasmasks)
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-346 (Mission to be done in complete stealth)
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-805 (Mission to be done with hazmat suits)
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-895
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-339
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-006-j (Mission to be done with hazmat suits)
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-096 (Survival/endurance mission. You can't win.)

Go ahead and think of other SCPs that they can fight, and how it would happen if you want.

They can also find other SCPs during missions to terminate others.

Such as:
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1457
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-529
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-999
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-990

Those "Optional" SCPs will give some sort of bonus when/if terminated, and some can't be terminated. Some will even hinder the player's progress in ways.

Gameplay ideas:
Each mission will have a similar mission layout to Payday the Heist. As in, the mission is already planned out, and random occurrences within the mission can affect gameplay in minor to major ways.

Such as the SCP - 2083 mission, the concoction of explosive materials have a fairly large chance of doing enough damage to the warehouse and the SCP inside to count as terminated. But in the case that the explosion doesn't kill the SCP, then there's a backup plan involving having the players themselves terminate the already injured SCP.

I don't know, this idea came and flew right past by as I started typing this up.
You guys can go ahead and make ideas or be a grammar national socialist or whatever.

People who have said that they'd work on this:
Rigel - Storyboard
Newspeed12 - something
Mutated Desert Horse - willing to do concept art

Bump, because I added mission details to SCP - 2083

Tell me what you guys think of the mission details, and what I should add/remove, it's just very bare bones, and that's the mission statement given to players, not the actual mission itself. I will continue to add to and shape this as time rolls by.

Seems like a good idea.
I can make the logo if you want.

That'd be awesome.

i've been toying with the idea of a GoC vs. SCP game for a, more specifically a game where you're a junior researcher and you get trapped in the bowls of site 17 during a well-planned GoC heist. but that's for another day.

in any case, what could be cool is rather than doing it for a nondescript reason, each mission is set up like a heist, contracted by different companies. So, marshall carter and dark .ltd want you to retrieve The Lovecraftian Locket, right, since their focus seems to be on more "fine art" anamolous items, and their specifications are that no damage comes to the locket, but during the raid you are being stalked by a Flesh Beast.

what would also be awesome is that in order to do a mission, you have to read all the documentation, and the level of difficulty is set real high.

if you want any ideas on an SCP game, hit me up, i got a ton. i can also do concept art.

there needs to be an SCP sandbox game where there's just a bunch of on-site SCPs that you can mess with individually or cause mayhem by setting them all loose.

Well, since it is a rogue company that abandoned the GOC with only their equipment and dossiers, then anything could happen, really

Perhaps instead of the GOC we can rewrite the story, and have it be... I don't know, some other random group in it for the money. Serpent's hand wouldn't really be a good idea, though. They... I don't know, it seems like they have a method to their madness, right?

I wrote down GOC because it's much easier since they are already a faction on opposing terms to the SCP foundation and want to terminate SCPs.

But feel free to let all your ideas loose right here, so others can make suggestions and whatnot. We should most likely get a backstory of the whole group's reason for what they're doing before we actually get into individual character bios.

Bump because I finally thought if the game's name!

And I will continue trying to write up a story involving the company's own departure from the GOC.

If you ever need a Bane ripoff that can freak the forget out during the 895 mission, I'm game.

A nice idea in general, there's obviously got to be someone leading the company through their missions, yes?

But I think 895 only affects visual items, unless every person has a camera with them.

I'm just now thinking about how it'd work in a style similar to Xcom...

But now I think it'd be better to be an FPS as originally planned.

I think 006 J should be an Easter egg because if they are labeled j they are supposed to be a joke
